Our Value Proposition
CHI’s team recognizes that there are problems in California’s farm labor system. Growers suffer from an industry-wide labor shortage and low retention of workers knowledgeable in their crops, while farmworkers are limited to existing low-wage jobs with little opportunity for upward mobility. CHI addresses these issues by providing higher wages, access to year-round work, valuable training, and leadership opportunities.

Raising the Standard
The current agricultural labor system does not work for growers and employees, and therefore also impacts consumers and retailers. CHI’s mission is to raise the standard of practices and treatment for farmworkers to affect a change in the entire industry. We don’t believe in the dichotomy of growers versus workers or contractors versus contractors—we believe that we are all working toward the same goal of a healthy harvest and a stable workforce.
